Rocklahoma PPV?

Anyone heard of this? I have been hearing for weeks that VH1 and VH1 classic are presenting a PPV for this. It is suppose to be similar to the Moscow Music Peace Festival from back in the day. The festival kicks off this Thursday and I don't see it available in the guide yet. Any info is greatly appreciated.

Ironic use of the word "sick"...

Tulsa World:Cinderella out after a bleeding vocal cord
Queensryche is playing Operation Mindcrime in it's entirety.

Rocklahoma
Interview with Rob Miller All Access Magazine:
The festival is now scheduled to appear on VH1 pay-per view so people world-wide will be able to feel a part of the event, with VH-1 classic host, Eddie Trunk, serving as master of ceremonies.
Well having just read this from the Eddie Trunk website it seems that if there is PPV he's not the one hosting! I guess if you want to see it, gotta go to Oklahoma!

05-Jul-08 Rocklahoma 2008 is here! Exclusive daily updates from Eddie right here! Plus Richie Kotzen, AC/DC...
Well the second annual Rocklahoma is here and I am headed to OK this Tuesday night for five days of rock. Really looking forward to this years event as last year was a total blast. Beyond all the great music it was so cool for me to meet and hang with so many listeners and viewers and I hope to have time to do more of that this year over the five days. Once again I will serve as the events on stage MC and backstage interviewer. I appreciate all the folks behind Rocklahoma for once again making me a part of it. Also, once again XM is your official exclusive satellite radio home for the festival. Kevin Kash from the Boneyard will also be on hand and will be recording many interviews with many of the artists backstage. Also, very excited to announce that this year I will be posting some daily blogs and hopefully audio and video from Rocklahoma right on this site exclusively as it happens. My good friend Erik Luftglass, who now works with me on this new site, will be shooting video and photos backstage, in front of stage and on stage. I'll be providing blogs and updates as well. So track everything as it happens right here on this site! We will update as much as possible schedule permitting. Once I return on 7/15 I'll also give everyone reports and updates on both the Q104 and XM radio shows. Very psyched to see the reunited Extreme, Triumph, the return of Lita Ford, my good friend Ace Frehley, one of my favorite lesser known acts Vain, as well as my all time faves UFO. Should be an awesome five days, hope to see you there!

I've not heard of Rocklahoma before, but every time I saw this thread title today it reminded me of the local hamlet of Ronkonkoma, near where I live. :p
VH1C (channel 337) shows nothing but "VH1 Special" starting at 4pm EDT on the 14th. It runs in 1 hour blocks for 12 hours. That can only be Rocklahoma. Also, here's a quote from the organizer:

"Rogers said the festival will be broadcast on world-wide pay for view television and the VH1 music channel. "

This implies that it's only PPV if you don't get VH1C.
Man I wish they would have it on one of the other MTV channels....in HD.

I'm sure once the MTV Networks have time to edit it they will put it on MHD.

Dude I saw many if not all of these acts up close when they were in the glory days. That was many many moons ago. Having spent many a night on the Sunset strip when it was the place to be for metal heads I saw every one the L.A. based guys/gals (and those who relocated there) back in the days and I can ASSURE you that you do NOT want to see most of them in any form of HD! I just cannot get over the line up, especially the small stage acts. A lot of bands that were out of L.A. are still hanging on despite the fact they never really MADE it (Odin, Paul Shortino, Keel, Faster Pussycat, Bulletboys).

Of course it would be kind of funny to see some of the fans who are still hanging on too. The mullet that's now the skullet! And the women who try to look pretty. They still think they look good in that leather and lace, nipples to kneecaps aside!

All kidding aside it was great times back in the day and it's great to see that we were right. METAL WILL NEVER DIE!
Still hoping for at least a weekend of coverage or something. Kinda like MTV did back in1988 for the Monsters of Rock and this is clearly a bigger deal than that. I hate when they say we are covering it and then leave us hanging. What about the ppv on demand maybe that will have something. I don't wanna wait for the 14th to watch a bunch of cut up edited footage. Cmon guys give us something!
Wow not seeing anything in the guide for this now.

Weird!!!!
