I currently have an H20 and HR10-250 in the living room. When I do upgrade I will replace my HDTivo with an HR20. So my question is since the remotes are the same, am I going to have to do anything special to the remotes to make sure that each one works for the reciever it came with? Or does the HR20 remote have a setting that I can use to control the H20? Would that be just a flip of the knob at the top or would I have to go in and create a new "channel"? My ideal situation would be to have only 1 remote to use for both.

I'm probably going to get a Harmony 880 for Christmas, but I'm asking just in case.

Yes.

You will set one to DirecTV mode, the other to AV1/AV2 mode
