Samsung SIR4040 Blanks Out
My Samsung SIR4040 is doing something strange. I'm hoping someone can help me diagnose it.
The unit suddenly goes blank. This has happened several times in one day, but usually it happens only once a month or so. When whatever is happening, happens, the screen goes grey (not black) and the unit is completely paralyzed, Pulling the plug and letting it do a cold reset corrects the problem. This has happened while recording and at times it is not.
Anybody have any ideas? is the power supply failing? Is the box just dying? I really don't want to lose this box as the R15-500 is just not a suitable replacement.
