Santa Update vs. 10b and Elvis Update vs. 115

Question.

Was there stuff in the actual 10b update that was NOT included in the Santa update pre-release? Was the Santa update even a beta test of sorts, or just an early release?

I guess I am trying to figure out if there may be things in the National release of 115 that they may not have included in the Elvis release of it.

There where two Santa runs.

One for version 0x108...
Based on the feedback, they corrected some things... and came up with 0x10b

0x10b was then Santa Run #2

It was run pretty similar to this one (0x115).
Except this time around... we had a dedicated two day window...known in advance.

previously it was only known about for a few hours (like yesterday's window)

The National 0x115 (if it goes national), is 100% identical to the same one from last night and tonight.

If anything is added when the next update goes national it will be a different version number. The last RC update was exactly the same as the national release that followed of the same version.

Are you saying that D* will not make any changes to correct bugs in 0x115 before going national?

No, I believe what he is saying is that there will be no additional FEATURES added to the release (say DLB).

They may further fix items that are already listed (say Audio/video 3-5 second off after trickplay)

If they decide to make changes to 0x115 before the national release..
It will no longer be called 0x115
