Sat-Go and Tailgating

I have seen a few threads about the Sat-Go, but noticed the most recent one was closed, so I thought I would start a new one. I just became a season ticket holder for the Falcons and have a parking pass for one of the big tailgating areas around the Georgia Dome. I am trying to decide my best option for watching DirecTV while there.

I have read in other threads that the Sat-Go only gets signals from the 101 satellite. Does this satellite include the Sunday Ticket channels? Also, would it just be easier (and less expensive) to get a portable dish and a television?

I appreciate any and all feedback.

It should get the SD NFLST channels.

I only had NFLST one year (2003). I got all the channels then, and I only had a single dish that got the 101 sats. I doubt it has changed since then.

I bet it would be cheaper just to bring a portable dish, TV, and a reciever from home them to go with the Sat GO.

Do you have access to wireless internet at the stadium. I just bought a $70 slingbox a few weeks ago and it works perfect for tailgating.

I went to the Pats - Steelers game last year and just brought a 3 LNB dish with a portable stand. I used an inverter hooked up to a car battery for power. I brought my DVR with ST for the early games and i ended up drawing a crowd at my van. It was a great time...

Coupla thoughts. First off, you realize that you won't get the local game on your ST account. OTA would work for that. Sat-Go is a freakin' fortune. We use a $20 dish off of ebay and a bullseye mount. (google it) It's so easy to set up because of the way you plumb the shaft. ST is on 101 according to all I've read (SD of course.) I agree with other posters... skip the Sat-Go even if you can afford it! My $.02
