I have a 121 superdish with a wing dish hookup. Five lines go into the house running from two DPP 44 switches. 121,119,110,129.
My question, if I set up an additional wing pointing to 61.5 and plug it into the switch in place of the 121 line, would this work?
Can 129 and 61.5 work together on the same switch?
Would there be any problem removing 121 to just use the 110 and 119 on the superdish?
I know it would clean up the dishes by using a 1000+. But, the dishes are already up and it would save me the expense of changing dishes. I am a long time subscriber but do not want to be on the hook for two years to get an upgraded dish.

Yes ... it would work fine. 61.5° and 129° can coexist fine.

Why would you want a 1000+ are you subscribing to international on 118.7? A 1000.2 would get 110/119/129 and be smaller than your superdish.:)

When I did it my 622 would usually pick the 129 sat for HD channels even though the 61.5 equivalent was stronger. I kept getting pixellation and had to disconnect 129.

i believe it picks whichever is first in the switch matrix, but i haven't tested that theory

I switched out 121 with 61.5 and it is working.

Just before I went up to change I had on MAXHD, Point Break, it was a very good looking HD image from 129.
After I switched and went through switch check, HDMAX came up with a black screen for about 10 sec then came back on. The picture seemed even better. The colors were richer. I went to point dish screen and it was on 61.5 tp16.
Even though I was able to compare both feeds I think either one is still acceptable.
I do notice that my signal strength from 61.5 is higher than 129 signal.
When I switch channels to my regional sports channel it goes right to the 129 sat no delay. So all feeds are compatable.

On my switch matrix screen it now shows:
119-feed, 129-dual, 110-dual, 61.5-dual.

Before change it was:
119-feed, 129-dual, 110-dual, 121-feed.

As my switch now reads three dual feeds, will this cause any problems?
