I had my receiver updated to the HR34 last Sunday, during which time the installer tried to tune the dish in a snow storm. Today we have some wind issues and certain channels keep freezing and going out. readings on most satellites are in the 90;s but 99c has 14 transponders with reading of:

1 -8 49 63 45 62 44 62 40 64
9 - 16 38 63 36 62 36 60 n/a n/a

the signal meter is 48- 50%

satellite 99s has 16 transponders with reading of:

1 - 8 60 0 67 0 49 0 na na
9 - 16 na na na na na na 53 77
17-24 0 0 29 74 0 20 46 78

the signal meter is 76%

Should these levels be higher all other satellites are in the high 80's to 100.

I, too, live in NC, and I have 95 or higher on all of the 99c and 103ca and 103cb transponders and 97 or higher on all but one of the 101 transponders, so it can be done.

Check this thread to determine which satellite/transponder has your locals. Those are the only "S" transponders you need to worry about. All of the Raleigh/Durham locals are on 103 transponder 21 or 22. I have 97 on both of those.
