I just replaced my ailing HR21-100 (Mexico) with a new HR21-200 (Indonesia). Unlike the HR10, HR2x boxes won't let you drain your old programs unless they remain authorized (according to a CSR) at $4.99/mo or $1.15/wk.
I found out the hard way that I couldn't get back into my old Playlist unless I reconnected the satellite dish (at least one cable, maybe both cables) to the old box. The stupid software cannot be made to quit trying to acquire satellite information.
Question: After acquiring that satellite information, can I disconnect the satellite cable(s) for good, as long as I never have to restart the old receiver? Without the satellite connection, will I be allowed to continue using my old Playlist?
