Satellite line 1 is out on certain satellites

I noticed I was getting a searching for satellite on line 1 so I hit record and then noticed that I can't get any other HD channels on the other tuner. I checked the signals and I'm getting all 0s on every satellite except 101, 110, and 119. So I swapped cables and the problem is staying on line 1. So I assume it's a receiver issue. I have another Hr20 that's fine.

Also, my signals (on the working tuner) on 99(c) are awful (all below 80) and my signals on 103(c) are pretty bad too.

Make sure you also switch BBCs.
Well I switched the whole thing including the BBC and the problem stayed with Line 1.
Have you tried resetting your DVR?

...and if that doesn't cure the problem...you have either a multiswitch problem or else a bad tuner.
I had the same problem on an HR21 with an AM21 and esata drive; RBR did not help. Last night I unplugged the unit for awhile and once back up it has been fine.
Had the same problem , rebooted problem fixed
A reboot did not fix the problem. My question is how can it be the multiswitch if the problem stays with the tuner and not the cable? And arguing the other side, how can it be the receiver if I get good signals on 101, 110, and 119? Weird.
I just had my multiswitch replaced (lightning storm). I now occasionally get zero's acrosds the board on tuner 1. But a reset fixes it everytime. The last time it happened, I switched the cables to see if it was the BBC's. Now it occurs to me that I should have switched the BBC's themselves, correct? ANyway, could all these zeros be a BBC issue, but a reset will correct it?

You said your readings on 99 and 103º were "awful", even on the "good" tuner. Perhaps your dish needs better alignment. The "good" tuner might just be a bit more sensitive to show the low readings, while the "bad" tuner is showing "0". Do your other Receivers show high readings on 99 and 103º?

It's really mostly the 99c that has poor signals (no transponder in the 80s). 103c isn't great but I shouldn't have said it was awful. I never thought my dish was aligned all that well but what was I supposed to do about it. The other satellite's aren't that bad.
Well is seems like the 4th reboot finally did it. It now works. My 99c signals are all in the 70s or less but I'm getting a picture. What are others seeing on thier 99c signals?

Anyway, this whole mess just conveys my point that the whole Hr20/new HD channels/multiswitch thing just isn't reliable. I actually think the Hr20 is a pretty good box but I just don't even trust it enough to disable my SD Tivos. It's not always the HR20's fault but the fact remains that I get missed recordings at least 4-5 times a month.
If the problems comes back, it wouldn't hurt to get the box switched out. You should have signals(99 and 103) for at least a few of them in the 80s or better yet 90s. You could benefit from an alignment as well. Your SD boxes won't see 99 and 103.
