Sorry if this has been asked before, but I didnt see anything that looked similar.

Recently, my VIP 722 has been popping up the "Satellite signal has been lost" message (Error 002), as if there is rain fade or something similar. However, its sunny out and no clouds or anything. As soon as this pops up, I can hit the menu or the guide button, and Im watching TV again. If I hit rewind, I can watch anything that happened while the error message was up, indicating that the error is in error. Whats causing this?

I posted the other day about getting "signal lost" messages on my new install, but actually, I'm experiencing the same thing reported here--once I get past the error message, I can rewind past the point of the error, and it doesn't appear anything's actually been lost. Totally clear conditions, and my signal strength is better than 50 on all and better than 60 on most.

I've still got 5.11.

I see lost signal error messages from time to time that appear to be from E*'s receivers at the uplink center. The sky may be sunny here but in the Rockies it may be storming, in which case the BUD's that pick up the individual networks get rain fade.
