Is there an easy way to do this? I can connect a PC to the IRD either via ethernet (through my Netgear router) or via USB or thumb drive and save the recording? My IRD is networked for D* on Demand, but I've never tried seeing if I can access the IRD from my PC.
Please advise.
because DVRs actually record the Satellite signal and decode it each time it plays?litzdog911 said:Like VOS says, no. It doesn't matter how long the recording is. The only way to "transfer" anything from your DVR to your PC is to record it onto the PC using video capture hardware/software. Or copy to a DVD Recorder and move the files from the DVD to your PC.
Was this a question? (?)curt8403 said:because DVRs actually record the Satellite signal and decode it each time it plays?
