Anyone remember the free dvr code for a sd dvr? Is it "freedvr4u" will this still work?

I believe it was "DVR4U2."

I used it twice but have no idea if it will still work.

on the old D* website there was a spot for you to enter a promo code but i don't see that any more..

i think i got like 2 R15's for free using that code

I got one for free using "dvr4u2"!! But the code has been inactive for almost a year now.

I think they had the installers tell new subs to use that code to get the "free" dvr as part of them being a new sub....but the code got out and EVERYONE was using it-including old subs. After getting the free R15, I got a letter with a coupon which I could use "as a new subscriber" to get a free DVD player too-but I didn't press my luck especially since I haven't been a "new" customer for 8 years.

As I recall it was connected somehow with the YES network being added for NY customers, but it obviously worked nationwide, multiple times for some of us.
