Check your signal readings, especially on the 110-deg satellite.

Yes this has been seen, reported on this forum and I have had this problem. I had both tuners recording, and you could watch live on either tuner but it had the searching message up.

Another bug in the software. I had to stop the recording to make it go away, it happened on both mpeg2 and mpeg4.

I have been lucky and have not seen it for a while.
My 110 only has signal on three trasponders. Reading 92, 91 and 89

If that is the problem will unplugging Sat 1 while I watch that channel fix this?

Also if I can see the HD ABC channel in my guide and can view SD programming on it. Is that to say I will also be able to see the HD programming tonight or will it go black when the HD comes on?

Have the exact same readings on this satellite, and cannot get most national HD channels. Tech visit pending, but this reaks of a software problem that DTV refuses to address, especially as it seems to be of their creation in the most recent updates. Frustating.

Yep, those readings are fine.
Right but is that normal to have only three transponders showing a signal at all. My 101 shows signals on all transponders. Why only three on the 110? And what should I do about it?

Yes, it's normal. DirecTV only uses 3 transponders on the 110-deg satellite. Dish Network uses the other transponders from that satellite location.
Very cool. Thanks for that info. I have been responding in another thread just like this one and I think I may have partialy figured out what is wrong. Will know more today.
