I hoped this had been fixed by now. I had a game on TV and took a break to work on a project in the garage. It's raining and we lost the DTV signal. I came back in to find the picture frozen but wanted to back up and see what I'd missed. Sure enough there was a large part of the game recorded intact, BUT I can't watch it w/o the constant "Searching for Signal" notice in the bottom right of the screen. What's with that!?!? There's no way to remove this obtrusive disaplay!? Is there a really good reason this notice needs to be plastered on my screen when watching recorded video? I know the notice itself isn't part of the recording because it FINALLY disappeared when viewing recorded material and, in real time, the signal itself came back. There is absolutely no need for this message to be constantly displayed especially when viewing recorded material.
