Thanks for the info. Always nice to get a few extra channels for a little bit at least ;)
Looks like I'll be able to catch the premier of Enterouge and True Blood on HBO before deciding to jump in full time. Thanks for the heads up.

Yup, seems like the preview just happen to line up with some premier episodes

So does this mean people who are already subscribers get a bill credit for those three or four days? ;)

Yup, and $50 of their bill for 12 months. And free HD DVRs for everybody. :D

no but what u could do is if u already get hbo & not starz:

during the 4 day hbo freeview cancel hbo and add starz just for those 4 days....then just add hbo back and cancel starz after the freeview is over....this way u still get hbo due to the freeview and u get starz for 4 days basically free.

or vice versa if u already get starz & no hbo during the starz freeview.

if you do decide to do that, just remember about there disco fee. if you have the moive channels less than 30 days on the account and cancel them they charge you a disco fee of 10...i know you probably do but i am just saying

I believe you can switch movie channels around and not have to keep the SAME movie channels for 30 days - you just can't completely cancel movie channels within 30 days of adding them when you didn't have them before.

nope....u made a common mistake everyone seems to make:

u only pay $10 fee if u cancel and dont add anything....if u just switch from 1 to another as in my scenario u dont have to pay the fee.

like the picard/borg dude said above.

yea some people switch like every 2 weeks...really keeps gives u a good selection of movies per month that way.
What are the chances of the Sports Pack preview being like the last one, where all the channels were unlocked with no blackouts for Pro Sports Events?

I loved watching NBA and NHL HD games from the west coast in the late evening. Would be nice for MLB this time around :)
wow between hbo/cinemax combined its only 2 HD channels.*

*east/west is essentially 1 channel.

& of course "transformers" is on before the freeview & after the freeview but not in the freeview.
It would be smart marketing if D* added the rest of the HBO and CineMAX suites in HD before these freeview events.

& thats probably why they wont do it.
Just curious, during the free preview can you also download through DoD from the channels included in the preview? I would suspect so, but not sure.
