Series Link Question ...

OK, I posted a late night rant last night regarding the sudden loss of my Los Angeles DNS (ABC/FOX) channels. I still have the SD but Direct TV took away the HD versions. OK, OK, you can go read the post for the details but now I have a question.

I have to rebuild a ton of Series Links to change the channel numbers. If there are "0 Episodes" it does NOT show the channel number. And, if there are "0 Episodes" available then I cannot go to the Guide and set up a new Series Link. (Some of the series have ended until the fall). Some of my daily series (I guess) I can delete then go to the Guide and rebuild.

Isn't there a way (I have an HR20-700) to simply "change the channel number" on a Series Link that I already have stored?????

I dont believe there is. I think you have to re-build your SLs. Sorry:(
Thanks. Wouldn't that be a good suggestion then for a software update? Are we posting "suggestions" somewhere in this forum?
