Is it possible to record only a single part of a long show?

For example, if I want to watch only 1 hour of the olympics at a given time, can I set the DVR to record just that 1 hour out of the many?

Ah. Gotcha. Thank you for the tip. I was trying to set recordings from online and didn't think about that option (which, I admittedly have never used before).
