Sharing media from WMP11 on HR21 problem
I keep all my media (photos, music, videos) on a server on my home network. My Media Center PC is running Vista Ultimate. I've authorized the HR21 as a device under Windows Media, and I see the link in the menu to play music/photos/videos from the PC. Unfortunately though, the only music that shows is music that is stored on the media center PC itself. There are only about 50 songs of the thousands that I store on the shared drive.
Does anyone have a similar set-up that they got working? I can't put all that music on my media center PC, and I don't want to.
The server is running Windows Server 2003. Maybe the receiver requires special permissions to grab the media directly from the server share.
Any help would be appreciated.
