Lately, I have been losing a signal more often. Does anyone know what my signal strength should be? I live in zip code 36117.

Thanks in advance.

Are you having trouble connecting to the 129?

I did some signal checks with point dish and got signals all in the 30's for the channels that use 129 (which most of the HD channels are on). I've never seem them that low before.

I had the install done on Tuesday the 10th and my signal strength is 58-61. I live on upstate South Carolina zip 29621. I feel it should be higher than that. Do I need the tech back out. He said the meter goes to 125 but I would only get around 65. Doesn't sound right to me. I'm on the EA.

Your feeling is not right. The values are GOOD, say B+.

I'm on eastern arc and all the sudden I have no reception. A few clouds in the sky but nothing that should knock out reception. Both my receivers are down, have solid connections.

It's been out for about twenty minutes. Weird.

I thought these were at or below minimum. I have been getting complete signal loss on a regular basis. Used to only happen with major storms but happens much more. I have a friend in the area with dish and it rarely happens to his dish setup.

Can you ask him and post his reading ?

I did ask him and sent the signal levels I posted. His response was,

"Your signal strengths for the orbital 77 are far enough below the minimum to where you would be experiencing signal loss frequently. I can set up a technician to come out to re-peak the DISH antenna. Thanks!"

I may try to peak the dish while I wait but it's too hot when I get home. Maybe this weekend in the morning when it's cooler.
