Scenario #1: I'm on the guide and I hit the Record button twice to make a program a Series Link, the indicator display 2 RRs.

Scenario #2: I hit Menu and then Search and click on a specific show and episode and hit the Record button twice, it makes it a Series Link but only shows 1 R.

I know it's no big deal and I could go to Episodes anyway, but I was just curious if this has ever been brought up before.

I think I've seen this too. What you're seeing with #2 is: a program may be in the guide so you can hit record [once] if I hit record again nothing [or it turns off the icon]. This is a case where not all of the guide info is there [meaning if you wait sometime] and try later the info has been updated and then works. Or to put it another way, you're too far into the future for all of the guide info to do what you want. Waiting will fix it.

It's a BUG. Under search results, a double R will only show (R) and not (R))).... but really is does create a series link... to prove it look in the prioritizer.

I have found the "bug" just may be due to the guide. When I see it & I wait until there is more guide info, it's gone. While it may be logged as a "bug". It only seems to manifest after a reset, before the guide is fully populated. YMMV. As this is just my opinion.

I'm having this problem with series linking American Idol. It premiers with a 2 hr episode on Tues night 1/16 and another first run 2 hr episode is airing on Wed. night 1/17. The double R only shows on the Tues night show and there is no R on the Wed night show; although in the description is says that all first run shows are scheduled to record.

What's up with that??

Ok ill admit it........i season passed the show, it bonds me with my teens.........and notice the same problem!!! im going to manually record, that show is impossible to watch live.

I checked back tonight and now both shows next week are scheduled to be recorded with the appropriate icons attached. I guess the HR20 needed to do its housekeeping.
