How do I order a college football game that has already been announced by the university as a Pay-per-view? It's not listed on the Directv site as a PPV but I can find it under Sports schedule and the channel is listed as TBA. Is it just too early for it to show up as a PPV? The game is on Aug. 30.

I hope someone posts an accurate answer to that question. I have tried in the past without much success. I was told I had to subscribe to a season long ESPN sports package.
I'm not paying $108.00 for espn gameplan just for a couple of games.

I purchased a couple of college football games last year and the guide usually will update a day before or the day of the game. UT has already announced the August 30 game as PPV on FSN.
So, if you're going out of town a couple of days before the game and you'd like to record it while you're gone, you're just SOL? That's pretty stupid, IYAM!

Yeah, I knew it was on Gameplan but I 'm not really interested in that. I just wanted the single game. Actually, I'm GOING to the game but a friend of mine has Directv but he's technologically challenged and I knew he'd never figure out how to get the game on PPV :)

In the past if a game is announced as PPV and is also listed in the GamePlan package, it will not be shown on GamePlan in the 'home' market. The PPV version is available in the home market, usually somewhere on cable, almost never on Directv.

The Auburn game in question will be shown on GamePlan almost everywhere except in Alabama and possibly Louisiana. As to who will be selling it in Alabama, who knows. Maybe a visit to the Auburn sports website might have a listing for where the game may be purchased.

if the game that you are looking for is part of the ESPN gameplan, it is possible to order just that day (Normally becomes available on Friday before the game)

Here is the official announcement by AU concerning the first game on PPV.

I will be at the game as well, I think we will probably get the game on PPV and chill at the tailgate.

Yep. Auburn game will be blacked on ESPN GamePlan if you live in Alabama or Louisiana, but available PPV around game day. I ordered last year. If you order online, you can watch on multiple sets tied to your subscription. If you order from receiver, you can only watch on that one receiver. Online: no extra charge. Order by phone and there is an additional charge for a human to help you.

BTW, not ordering GAMEPLAN this year. No HD and not enough relevant good games for me away from the networks.

good point.

Frogs are generally not thought of as good football players, so you will never find a football team (College or otherwise) that has a frog as a mascot.
