Had a quick question for anyone who has an HR20 with the NBA League Pass.

I know regional sports networks are available locally with the LB5 dish and H and HR20's - do you get any of the out of town RSN's in HD with the subscription?

Have a friend who is think of upgrading to the HR20 and was curious

No...
The Local RSN's are spot beamed... so unless you still happen to reside in the same spot beam region as the local RSN you are attempting to get, you won't receive (even if they enabled it for you)

I'm so sad the League Pass isn't in HD. :(
Talk to the NBA... as they need to offer it as an "add-on" to the package, similar to what the NFL does for Sunday Ticket

I've been able to see some of the games in HD (on channel 95) and they seem to be the RSN local HD feeds (and not my local RSN). They are not the NBA TV HD games either....yesterday's Bulls/Lakers game was being shown on both ESPNHD and on LA's RSN on channel 95 (neither was blacked out for me and I'm 365 miles north of L.A.).

I've called and complained to DTV many times about not being able to enjoy the HD feeds when available (especially with the league pass package) or when DTV would start offering more HD games (similar to NFL ST)...

Why is it that most of the time I get the NY RSN on my 95 instead of the Boston RSN? I rarely get to see the lousy Celtics in HD.

I too have been able to receive games on 95/96. Often I will get two games a night; my local RSN on 96 (Sonics of FSNW) and either the NBA channel in HD or some other RSN on channel 95.

One significant issue I am having and wanted to see if others have which is a specific problem with the HR20 is... like right now for instaqnce if I go to either channels 95/96 or the 750s, I get "Upcoming: Title Not Available". This makes it impossible for me to record a game well in advance. I have had to go to my other tv with the HR10-250 in order to record these games because the guide works flawlessly on that receiver. This is not consistent either, sometimes I can view the NBA channels well in advance, other times I can't. On the HR10-250, I can view which games are going to be on which channels days in advance.

Has anyone else had this problem? Are there any fixes or workarounds, besides recording on a different receiver?

I've seen that a lot too. Sometimes you can get it to actually show the program/game in the guide if you refresh the guide either by going to another channel first (say 206) and then re-enter 95/96 in the guide and then you might see it. Also, don't actualty tune to channel 95/96 because then you won't see anything in the guide especially if the channel is not active then. Getting to actually record it is another issue with the HR20. If you schedule to record it at the start time, the recording might fail because the HR20 will try to start recording on the channel that hasn't been "turned on" yet. I suggest you have it start recording 1 or two minutes after. I've had this problem recording special HD programs shown on channel 101 for the same reason. I would suggest to DTV to active or turn on special event HD channels 1 minute before they begin in order to eliminate these recording issues.

This doesn't make sense to me friday the mavs game was in hd on espn and i also got this game on channel 95 even though i live in southern california yet last week the clippers laker game was in the guide for channel 95 in HD but could only get the game in sd. it's frustating trying to set my tivo to record these games in HD because more often than not the game isn't televised where you think it will be.
