Last month I had an install set for the HR20. The installer told me that because of my roof pitch, line of site and the location of my current dish he could not mount the current 5 lnb dish. He told me that the slimline dish would work on a different location of my house when it became available.

After various calls to D* and my local install company I was told that they were not using the slimline dish yet because they were waiting for a new satellite to be turned on and if they installed the slimline now they would have to come back and realign it.

I had to cancel the install, but I see on the forums here where the slimline is being used in various locations. I am in Upstate South Carolina and was wondering if anyone could clarify why I can't have the slimline installed now and use the HR20 for national HD channels and then my locals and OTA once available.

Thanks!

More like they are still clearing out their stock of AT-9 dishes and/or are just clueless... :D

I was losing my 119 intermittently on my AT9 Dish. They came out today and checked the switch and dish. Installer said the 110/119 LNB was bad. He didn't have a replacement so he replaced it with a Slimline. Everything works great. One thing I thought was wierd was that he left the old AT9 behind. He said I had to get rid of it.
