Smeared Font in Widgets?

Our HR20-700 is showing a badly smeared font on all widgets (like NOAA weather, etc.). Our HR21-100, H21-100 both show the fonts perfectly sharp.

I'm not talking about a slight difference, I'm seeing very bad video corruption on many, but not all letters. Other elements of the display (still inside widgets) look fine. The "normal" screen (non-widget) is fine.

Has anyone seen this before? As soon as the NCAA tourney is over and I have time, I'll do a menu reset, but I find the problem most curious.

(Latest NR software on all boxes, btw)

So it's not the app. Let me try a 24-500...the NOAA map looks the same as it does on the 20-700. The fonts seem to be "blocky" on both HRs.

Don't know that I'd call it "very bad video corruption" on the fonts", looks like it's one of those old DOS applications. On neither the 20-700 or the 24-500 do I see any "smearing".

Same here. I just checked both HR24-500s. No smearing.

But the fonts look...wrong, don't they? That's one of the worst looking weather applications I've ever seen. I dunno, the fonts on this map look pretty crappy when you zoom in too.

I see the same thing also. It's also on scoreguide. I only see it on my HR20, not on the HR24 or H25.

Not doubting anyone. Just checked my HR24-500s again. Still not having the issues you and other posters are experiencing.

Perhaps it's a problem with just HR20's? You guys that are not seeing this have other receivers. Maybe other people with HR20's can chime in here.

That's it...your pix is exactly what I'm seeing on the HR20-700, while the HR21-100 and H21-200 look just fine. I haven't checked my wife's HR20-100...lemme take a look: ...couldn't check, heavy rain at the moment and the box is tied up trying to get a sat signal.

This morning on my HR20-100, there was a 7-10 pixel "streak" across both the App Column (all app titles) and the Weather Radar app (the only one I checked). Meaning, whatever color the pixel was on the left edge of the streak, got "smeared" to the right for a few pixels before changing to what it was supposed to be.

My HR20-700 is still not even showing Apps since resetting the unit about 3:00 yesterday.

I checked two more 20-700s and they were OK, but when I went to check a couple others the apps wouldn't load on the first one I tried and on the second unit I got a message saying they (D*) were fixing the apps and the option was closed to me. Perhaps they were working on the issue.
