SMW 8 & DECA

If I use a SWM8 and a 8 way, that I have, the most turners a can have is 8, that is O K as we use 3 dvr's a 24 and 2 23's, I have 2 questions. First, do I install the power inserter between the SMW8 and the 8 way or between the 8 way and one of the turners. The second question, is the DECA broadband adapter installed right off the 8 way? or is there something ells needed.

#1: Doesnt matter where the power inserter is, except if its between the receiver and the splitter, you need to use the red splitter power passthrough port.

#2: Deca adapters are installed directly behind each receiver with a short coax pigtail to the sat in port, and a short ethernet pigtail to the receivers ethernet port.

With only two receivers not having a DECA internally, only the H23s need one, but to answer the question about the BB DECA, yes it's feed off the 8-way with another coax.

He is asking about the broadband DECA, which is used to connect to a router. this should be installed off a port on the 8-way splitter and requires its own power supply.

As answered above you need a rg6 from the 8 way to a BBdeca with a separate power supply then connect the cat5 jumper to your router.
Try a 4 way splitter if possible to cut down on loss.

Kevin
Thanks, that was what I was thinking.
