"Snow" on OTA DTV Channel???

Hey all. New to DBS. Quick question for all of you experts. I live in Summerville, SC and I am getting some sort of snow-like interference on Charleston NBC 2. I have a DB2 hooked into my VIP 722 with a very short coax run. This channel pings the meter at 100 and is the only OTA that I get this interference on. I have seen things that say it may be "digital noise" but am not sure if this is that or not. I have tried moving the coax away from the power cords behind my TV to no avail. Can anyone tell me what the snow is and how to minimize or eliminate it??? Please ask if more info is needed.
