Based on a conversation I had with the last tech out at one of my properties, he said that Home Depot had an RG6 Compression tool for $20.

So I waited about a month (yea, not that smart), and went to Home Depot. No such tool, at said price.
But I was cool with it, I actually wanted HIS compression tool. He didn't remember the brand/model, but he did show me that it had interchangeable pieces so it could be used with RG59, RG6, RJ45, & RJ11.

After a little browsing, I couldn't find a tool that would do it all. So, I bought 2 kits. They're kind-of dinky/newb looking, but, short of a tester, they look like they'll get the job done.

DataShark Sat & Digi Cable Tool Kit, and the DataShark Network Tool Kit. I would've appreciated a cheap/decent line tester in this "Complete Network Tool Kit", but with the ones I looked at at Home Depot running around $79, I understand why I didnt get one.

Just looking for comments, I spose. Or if anyone happens to know of a single compression tool that'll do both jobs.

Bought the compression tool and stripper last year. The compression tool is a little different looking but same idea. Both were purchased at Home Depot or Lowes. Can't remember which, but both had them. Both were no more than $40.

The compression tool in that kit is probably the one he was talking about. I got one of those from Lowes a couple of years ago for something like $16. It works pretty good but you want to hold the cable (and connector) in the tool as you crimp it so that the connector will compress evenly.
