Couldn't help but notice it's September:rolleyes: , should we be on the lookout Thursday morning for new channels (not locals, PPV's or anything, but new HD channels everyone can watch 24/7)?

Can we start over/unders on ESPN-U HD being on D*TV too? I set it at October 16th....

nope.
I knew it wouldn't be high on DirecTV's list of channels to add, but I was really hoping that DirecTV would provide an HD feed of The CW for us who cannot receive The CW in HD OTA. DirecTV has multiple HD-LIL DMAs offered in which DirecTV provides a "regional" CW feed in the SD-LILs, so providing them with a "regional" HD feed could be done fairly easily by putting up WDCW-DT on CONUS and then allowing some of us (without SD or HD-LIL) a HD-DNS option.

With The CW's Fall season starting last night, the time to add it (in my opinion) was last week, so I'm not holding my breath for it anytime soon... but I am still extremely disappointed.

Big 10-4 there.

A release schedule would be nice, something similar to last year. I dont care if anything comes this Thu, I would like to know when though.
I am beginning to believe there will not be any new national HD (non PPV) until the last 72.5 DMA is moved.

According to my calculations, there are still 5 of those.

Im not too familiar with this. Whats the timeframe?
I know of at least one, Fort Smith/Fayeteville, AR. Not scheduled to move until Novemeber, so I don't think it will be that long.
I will be highly disappointed in no new HD again this week. So far, D11 has really only given us ABC-Family, PlanetGreen and 2 Showtimes. That's only 4 new national HD channels!

That's what I was thinking as well.

Besides, haven't they already moved the 72.5 SD-LILs to KA anyway? I vaguely remember RobertE saying something about how new installs in (at least some) 72.5 markets now only required a SlimLine dish... and this was before these markets had HD-LIL available (some still don't if I remember correctly).

4 new nationals plus
D11 is the new home for the last of the MPEG-2 to MPEG-4 conversions many full time RSN's some of the MLB xtra innings and NFL Sunday ticket this year and of course PPV's.
So I do not understand the sarcasm as the D11 startup has been a busy one and will continue to be.;)

Could be. I know I am still getting them from 72.5, because I've had a tree grow in front of that dish, and I'm not getting a signal.

I'm just going by this post here. It's very possible they may not have gotten ALL of the 72.5 markets simulcasted yet, but I still don't really see the reason why the 72.5 DMAs are that much of an issue yet, and if they are, the SD channels would be the issue, not the HD versions... and we have no timetable for them moving over.

I'm guessing no.

I can't complain or cry too much, I have both D*TV HD and TW-HD in my home, but I would love to have ESPNU HD and WGN HD to cover most of the sports in HD I miss in the umbrella I have.

What does moving 72.5 markets have to do with holding up national HD channel releases?
