Down to 8, but really on the girls side .. Comfort will invariably be next .. and on the guys side .. 90% - mark, 10% - twitch.

Let's see how they do tonight ..

Great .. Great .. Great show tonight. I was disappointed in one number (take a guess :) ) .. and that's it. Everyone turned it up a notch and that's a good thing.

The surprise of the night? .. I'll probably have some folks disagree with me on this one, but for the first time, the best girl of the night was not Katee but was Courtney. There, I said it. Jessica didn't do it .. Katee almost did it .. But Courtney did do it .. For the dances tonight Courtney out danced Will. So she gets the nod of best girl. Katee was a close second and Chelsie was a very close third. Three great dancers at the top.

The last girl - Comfort. OK .. I didn't hate you tonight at all. I liked your solo, I liked your hip hop routine .. The fox trot .. not so much, but yeah you kept your smile :) Good luck to you in for your future endeavors .. really, but the other three are just better than you.

The guys .. OK, again #4 is easy .. that's Mark .. really, it's easy. The other three guys. Maybe it's my expectations, but it just didn't look as clean overall for any of them. They were all great, though .. I loved the show tonight. Joshua looked good in the Disco and certainly had a workout but it wasn't 100% .. it wasn't 50% either .. definitely in the 90s :) But I'd have to put the guys equal.

That's where it gets tough. I promised myself I'd only pick half of the folks to vote on. That means Courtney and Katee for the girls.

For the guys? Joshua for the lifts in the Disco routine and what I thought was a great Tango. For #2 I'm gonna have to give it to Twitch for exceeding expectations and leave will at #3 for falling below expectations.

So my votes tonight are Courtney, Katee, Joshua and Twitch.

Bottom 4 .. Chelsie, Comfort, Will and Mark

going Home Comfort and Mark .. but I predicted that last week .. Duh! :p

The slow hip-hop number everyone was raving about was good, but not that good. Looking at it a second time to make sure I wasn't being hypercritical I still noticed that the couple was not in sync for most of the number. They were just a hair off each other the entire number with the exception of the times they actually danced facing each other or with each other. They both individually did a great job, but they weren't in sync!

Chelsie and Mark should go home!

Comfort had a bad solo, but she did well in both her numbers.

See ya

I was very pleased with last night's performances. I was even pretty impressed with the one that the judges didn't like. At this point, all of these dancers have got so much talent, that it's the luck of the draw who will go home honestly.

I was displeased with the judges' blatant attempt to force public opinion. I do think Comfort and Mark should go home. They are the least of the best, no question. That being said I did not need the judges forcing that point home.

I lost track of how many times Ms. Basil said "street." I suspect she was trying to underscore the fact that she was "street" before any of the dancers were "born" but she wasn't all that subtle.

I do agree with Doug... Courtney was far and away the best dancer of the night. Katee's contemporary dance was excellent but Courtney came out of the box running and never stopped.

Chelsie, on the other hand, whom I've defended in the past, didn't quite do it for me. It's her youth that's probably holding her back. As a ballroom dancer she is definitely accomplished, but I felt a lack of depth in her performances. She does what she does extremely well but it seemed as if her bag of tricks is a bit shallower.

Mark's solo seemed very perfunctory and almost spiteful. He is brilliant and moves like no one else I've ever seen, except tonight when he seemed bored. I wonder if being paired with Comfort sapped his will to stay in the competition.

My favorite routine... the contemporary routine! Well played and I loved Katee's hanging on the door. It did look like a cartoon, didn't it? Although, I was a bit distracted when the door slammed, thinking Katee just broke her fingers. They must have left an extra gap in the door frame.

My least favorite? Disco. Unlike most people I'm actually a huge disco fan but I felt that this routine did not have the smoothness I associate with disco and there were too many hip-hop pieces in it. Joshua seems wrong for it... the dance seems to want people with lanky silhouettes.

Going home tonight? I actually think it will be Mark and Chelsie. Comfort may have a fan base out there, we'll see.

Agreed. But America.. well.... who knows how they vote.
yeah, anything can happen, but Comfort has consistently been at the bottom .. heck, she even went home one week. And Mark was just so far under the other three, particularly last night. Certainly would be fair to say any of the other three could be 1, 2 or 3 on the night though.

And this is why the show works, Stuart I can remember not so long ago you not being a big fan of contemporary and look at you now. It was you're favorite routine. I haven't seen the show yet, who choreographed it?

They talked about the lifts in a good way .. yes, they were hard .. not saying that, but personally I thought that there were way too many for that short of a routine. I think they should have danced more.

I thought Chelsie did the Disco very well .. But Stuart, I'll be the first to admit I'm not a huge Disco connoisseur. My view of Disco is limited by tunnel vision.

Yes, either I'm getting more savvy or the routines are getting less weird. Maybe a little of both ;)

Okay, I know I'm clearly in the minority, but I feel that Twitch should go. He did well in the "contemporary" dance, but Mia dumbed it down so he didn't have to do much. Watch the routine again and what actual dancing did he do? Katee totally carried him. He did a couple of hip hop moves that they talked about adding, but the leap/jump he did with his knees bent looked so awkward that it looked like an effort to change the routine for him. What he brings are the things he does well each week--musicality, physicality, timing, attitude--not precision (except in his specialty), clean lines, or complicated, or delicate moves. Granted, it was a great routine, but in my book, it was hardly Twitch dancing contemporary style.

My prediction is that it's Mark going for sure, though I felt he'd done well in both dances without any help from Comfort, with tough moves to master in a short time. Will and Josh are really showing their moves, and Twitch is just too popular with the judges support. I rather liked the disco number, but the lifting burden on Josh was immense. He was getting so tired that the routine wasn't as smooth as it could have been in the end, but I think Doriana was so thrilled to have someone who could lift his partner that she just kept adding them!

Courtney was amazing this week, so she and Katee should be staying with no problem I'd still like to see Comfort go home, but it may be Chelsie. It seemed last week that voters were taking a "what did you do this week" stance, so both are vulnerable. I'll pick Comfort though--I'll have to be right one of these weeks unless she wins. :eek2:

I absolutely love Mia Michaels, and she proved again why last night. I have about 20 minutes left of the show to watch when I get home tonight, but just had to comment.

That contemporary routine with will and Katee. Oh Em Gee. That was so freaking awesome. What sold it for me was the kiss. It looked real. Felt real.

I agree with Tony - the hip hop routine was not that great. It was ok, but I did not feel it at all.

I have liked Courtney from the beginning. Her and Katee are my favorites.

The guys - man its a toss up between Joshua, Will and Twitch. Will's solo blew everyone else's out of the ballpark at least in my opinion.

And yeah, the new judge just kept saying "street" and "organic" all the time. >.<

I will so insist I will never watch the show again if she wins.

(That will last about two seconds, because the choreography draws me in each year. BTW, they need to bring back SHANE! I like Tabitha and Napoleon, but Shane was AWESOMESAUCE!)

Yes, I should have said this and included this earlier in my comments .. Will did an excellent solo routine.

Yes, I was definitely remiss in mentioning Will's solo. Did anyone else notice he got a standing ovation from the judges?!? Amazing!

I knew immediately when Mark came up second that he was NOT in the bottom two because Will (who came up first) was in the bottom two. but .. but .. but ..

OK .. America got it wrong :( Too bad.

It's harder to tell on the girls side. I really thought Courtney was the best of the night and I stand by that today. BUT, Stuart, maybe you're right and America prefers the blond over over the brunette.

I can't believe I was so wrong on this one.

For those that didn't watch:

Will & Twitch were in the bottom two guys

Comfort & Courtney were in the bottom two girls.

Going home: Will & Comfort

2 more weeks and I think we're done with this show ..
