Wow, only two more weeks left .. I can't believe this show is coming to an end.
6 dancers .. two more out this week
6 dancers .. two more out this week
I may be wrong, but I think that is the way it will be this year. I didn't do a thorough check.Pink Fairy said:Thats it?
Man, I loved the second season where the finale was just the last TWO dancers.
ME TOO!! He was/is AWESOME!Sharkie_Fan said:Completely (sort of) unrelated.... I miss Shane Sparks! Tabitha and Ulysses are good, but I really like Shane!
I'd really be shocked if Joshua and/or Katee did not get through tonight. So Mark/Twitch should be the bottom two guys and Chelsie/Courtney the bottom two girls.willie_tee said:Yeah I know the one. And you are right: WOW!!! And those 2, IMHO, should be in the finals.
And thats why you cant compare the two shows at all. Dancing is taking stars who have nothing to gain from a show and pairing them with an established professional dancer who will just kind of go through the motions so the judges need to manipulate it for ratings. SYTYCD is full of younger people trying to begin a career doing what they truly love. The choreographers know this because its what they went through coming up as well and the judges too. If Dancing was to change to a truly pro-am competition it would become even more popular.Stuart Sweet said:Most of all, at this point in the season, I'm pleased to say that I am more and more pleased that I stuck it out. Those who read me know that by this point in "Dancing with the Stars" I was disgusted by the manipulation by the judges and the lack of commitment from the stars. On the other hand I've been incredibly impressed by the genuine affection everyone on this show has for each other. It doesn't come off as fake at all when the judges stand up and say how much they've enjoyed the dancers.
Bottom line... go Katee! go Katee!
While the stars aren't all in my age range, I do know most as well. It became stale two seasons ago for me and I don't follow it as closely as SYTYCD but my wife loves them both. Being different from each other is what makes them stand out from each other; but changes are needed to keep it going or it may just burn out before its time.Stuart Sweet said:You're right, Jody, but of course I do enjoy DWTS partially because I know the participants, and some of them are actually in my age range. They're two different shows. I hope that DWTS picks up a little this year, though, it's gotten stale.
Stuart, I just hope you can realize Krump and Hip Hop are different. Krump is like you say, "angry dances with torn clothing and weird hair."Stuart Sweet said:Last stab, though... I still don't get hip hop and I still don't get those angry dances with torn clothing and weird hair. Sorry, I'm going to remain a fan of dances where two people connect with each other in a mature and emotional way, and I'm probably never going to connect with a dance where the two participants look like homeless drug addicts or petty thugs.
But at their purest hip-hop and krump arent something to be choreographed. They are about a rebellious streak in someone that needs to be expressed very forcefully.sigma1914 said:Stuart, I just hope you can realize Krump and Hip Hop are different. Tabitha and Napoleon really showed what choreographed hip hop is by showing, "two people connect with each other in a mature and emotional way."
