Well, this is it .. Final week .. This time we get to pick the winner

Havent even been home to watch this yet - its still on anyway.

I just think that Joshua has a good chance.
You know .. I must admit, I really enjoyed this show .. I don't care who wins, tonight was entertaining. Technically, Katee did the best .. the other three? I couldn't tell you who was best. On an emotional level .. Pick one!?! Courtney brought down the house with a barrel of tears out of the gate. It kept up from there both joyful and sad.

For me, tonight was the winner Mia said it best "You've already won."

I voted for Courtney .. Katee is probably the best dancer of the 4 left .. but Joshua will win :) Doesn't matter I'll be happy regardless of the person who gets the most votes.
I've come a long way with this show, I'll admit. It was hard to get into. There were so many auditions and it seemed so repetitive at first!

I remember my overwhelming thought while watching the auditions was... these kids all look alike. I mean, boys vs. girls sure but they all look alike. I wonder if I would feel that way if I rewatched them now.

I consider last night my graduation from the "SYTYCD" academy. I'll be back next year and more educated I'm sure. Will I learn to like hip hop? Who knows. What is clear is that I won't look at "Dancing with the Stars" the same way.

Speaking of which, my least favorite routine last night... hip hop. I'm sorry folks, it must just be a generational or cultural thing for me. That purely acrobatic style just doesn't do it for me.

On the other hand, that Russian dance left me dumbfounded. Just speechless, and you all know that's not something that happens to me a lot. When it started I thought, oh boy, this is just going to be a re-enactment of the animated scenes from Tetris. But what athleticism! Holy moley! I have no idea how someone can do that. I have even more respect for Joshua and Twitch for continuing to dance after that.

Mr. Lythgoe took the dancers to task for looking tired after that point, and I'm sure they were utterly exhausted. His point was well made, but personally I was willing to cut a lot of slack given the incredible athleticism and the sheer volume of dancing that was learned in one week. He was right, a paying audience expects quality dancing throughout, but no professional performance would come only a week after learning four routines, and I doubt a professional dancer would be asked to retake the stage five minutes after doing split-jumps six feet off the ground.

Overall, I do agree, they are all winners. They certainly have won me. To which I simply add...

"Go Katee, Go Katee, Go Katee."

I'd love to see Joshua or Katee win--Joshua came in as a hip hop guy and left being proficient in so many styles, and Katee started here with lots of training and improved in everything.

I was dumbfounded by Nigel's remarks. I think Courtney and Joshua had the deck stacked against them with that jive routine thrown in. There can't be anything as tiring as a jive done well, and that was after the Russian dance for Josh and just before another breath taking (in both ways) final dance. Those should never have been programmed right after one another!

Hmmm, Joshua does the jive and Twitch does another hip hop.

Yep, Joshua or Katee for me.:D
Several sources are reporting that Joshua and Twitch were treated for dehydration:

Both Joshua Allen and "Twitch" Boss were sent to the hospital for medical care and released the same day due to dehydration. They bounced back quickly though as you could see last night, they were more than ready to perform.

It was a tough week and even thought it may have been trying .. they pulled it off. Plus I'm sure they'll get to dance a bit tonight, too. But I suspect at least the top 10 are back .. so that will ease the pressure a bit.
Congratulations, Joshua, and I send my respect to all four finalists who behaved with such professionalism. Twitch seemed so happy for Joshua, and both Katie and Courtney performed after they had already been eliminated. Well done!

I was expecting a total clipfest but other than that song from [strike]The Monkees[/strike] [strike]The New Kids on the Block[/strike] The Jonas Brothers, it was pretty tight!

Finally, I was surprised by two things: Apparently Mr. Lythgoe can tap very well, and Ms. Michaels didn't compliment anyone by threatening bodily harm to them!

I echo your sentiments Mr Sweet. Joshua and Twitch, two totally untrained dancers made the finally two. What were your thoughts on the "popping" battle. Personally, one's body is not supposed to bend and twist like that naturally. I also like Adam Shankman's comments about the judges needing to dance like Mary and Nigel did this year. That would be amazing to see. Glad we finally got to see a Shane Sparks routine but wished it couldve been for a select few not all 20 and Wade Robson's rabbit routine was amazing as well.
I didnt even realize there was a coffin there until about half way through
. Cant wait until next year.
That popping battle was amazing. I personally wouldn't really call that dancing... I'd call it acrobatics. Nonetheless it certainly took a lot of flexibility. I'm not sure of the criteria for judging, but personally I asked myself what looked more like it would take major surgery to correct! Both gentlemen were amazing and from what I'm understanding this is still a fairly new art form. I do agree with the winner.

Oh yes, Ms. Murphy dancing was very well done as well. I did expect the seated judges to all stand and shout "WOOOOOOOOO" in unison though.
I really enjoyed the show and the outcome! Getting to see all the best dances from the season again was great, and it was fun to see Nigel and Mary, and the best/favs from seasons past. I've seen another dance from Wade with a "fun house/magic" feel, so I'm guessing both will be in his show. He makes dancers dance, but he has a twist to his attitude too. I really enjoy his work!

Joshua has had some classes, but is virtually untrained. Twitch has done choreography before, and his solos were good every time. I think he has a great future as a choreographer.

Adam Shankman said Robert is a "freak of nature," and I have to agree. Who can move their limbs like that? Does he really have arm bones?? :D

I read this morning that they added $50,000 for Katee as the "top girl" and a part in Adam Shankman's film--Step Up 3D--for Joshua as additional prizes.

Thanks to all of you posters for your company during the show!! It's fun to see what others think of the performances--where we agree and disagree. I'm glad you were able to make it to the end and enjoy it, Stuart. They really do find some great talent for this show!!

The popping battle was awesome.

The bunny routine was kind of disturbing. Like really.

And you know, even though it was Shane Sparks - there were too many dancers to make it awesome.

I love this season and am really pleased with the winner! Congrats to Joshua!

Makes me sad that it is over!

And the whole thing about the winner being in Step Up 3D? What the heck! I haven't even watched the second yet!

I'm not sure I've seen any of them.

They promised a small part to one guy a year ago during his audition, but I don't know if he was in one of the films or not. I think he has scoliosis and really couldn't be in the competition, but he did want to show what he could do even with his disability. It was a great routine!
I think Josh and Twitch were both great....but...Katee is the best dancer. She is awesome I think. I mean really a wonderful and versatile dancer. She will do great, no question.

They should really have a Vegas act of some wicked dance routines with the best from all seasons. It would be a hit! Simon are you listening?

I think you mean Nigel Lythgoe ..
So I finally watched the Finale tonight. And, even more amazing, I managed to NOT see who the winner was until now!

Congrats to Joshua. He HAD to be the winner, IMHO. Katee may be more technically sound, but she's had LOADS more training than Joshua. For him to be as good as he was with virtually no training (he mentioned getting to sit in on classes in exchange for doing janitorial work around the studio to "pay for it"). That shouldn't happen. There's NO WAY he should be as good a he was. That was just plain raw talent, and when it comes to raw talent, nobody could touch him.

The one thing I found odd is that when they were doing the "best of the best", I didn't see Sabra. You'd think when discussing the best of the best you'd want the winners to be there.

All in all, I think this was probably the best season yet. Tons of fun. Can't wait for the next season!
Twitch was robbed. :D

I loved Twitch. By far my favorite dancer. But he was definitely outdone by Joshua at every step of the way.

He was outdanced by Katee and Will at every step of the way as well, although his personality won him the votes over those two, I think.
