Sony Corp. has launched a voluntary recall of 438,000 of their VAIO laptops.
72,800 of the affected laptops are in the United States.
The recall is based on concerns of a potential hazard that could cause the laptops to overheat and possibly burn a user.

Ironically, I just placed an order for a new VAIO laptop last week. I just checked and it's not affected.

that reminds me of a true story of someone who had a laptop that was a little too hot and so they drilled ventilation holes in the bottom
