We arrived at the Greensboro Coliseum for WWE RAW last night and found that our seats were DIRECTLY across the ring from the TV cameras, not off to one side as we originally thought. Because we would be on TV all night long in the background of EVERY match, the WWE production people came over to give us sign instructions and inspect all signs in our section for "objectionable content". Apparently, corporate logos for non-advertisers (like TiVo GuY) and .com messages (like "DBSTALK .COM IS RAW") constitute "objectionable" to the WWE

If you recorded the show, look for a sign during Bischoff's opening that says "GRECIAN FORMULA 3:16". I made that sign for my brother (the guy in the grey shirt holding it), and I am the bearded guy 3 seats over wearing the black shirt & black WWE cap turned around backwards (the bill gets in my way while taking pictures ).

For reference, our other signs that were seen on the show -
"I LIKE THE JUNK IN MOLLY'S TRUNK"
"WE WANT KANE"
"I CAME TO SEE TOMMY DREAMER" (my wife's)
"CRICKET SAYS DO IT 'TIL I'M RAW RVD"
"EDDIE GUERERRO TOSSED MY TACO SALAD"

I can hardly believe MY sign was more objectionable than those last two :lol:

We can also be seen Sunday on MTV's Heat with the sign "GOLDUST WANTS ME" (Goldust had a Heat match)

The moral of the story - sneak the sign into position AFTER pre-show sign inspection

You should have done like I did the last time I went to a RAW, I had signs but they were blank on one side.

I took along a marker and made my signs Double sided as the night went on.

I wanted the signs to be VERY legible on TV, so I painted everything on white 22x28 cardboard with a 1-inch wide brush, using colors that would show well against the white background and stand out in the sea of signs.
If I had known our seats would be so good (tickets.com's seating chart for the Coliseum is outdated) and that the thought police would confiscate my work I would've taken a big marker and made just my sign during the Heat taping. Oh well :shrug:
