Hi. I have an DTR R15 in the bedroom and on local NBC (through DTV not OTA), I get spanish subtitles. This is the only channel and we cannot figure out where to turn them off. Any ideas? Thanks!

This sounds like something that is controlled by your television's closed-captioning options.

The only thing on the R15 that I can think of which may have an impact is the audio options. Press the yellow button on your remote, select audio options, and make sure it is set to English.

It's your TV. Check the TV owner's manual for instructions to turn off all of its Closed Caption Text modes.

Who would have thunk..... the obvious. I have had so many problems with my HD DVR in the other room, I instantly blamed the DTV box in the bedroom. When I finally found the remote, the tv was on CC2.
