Splitting long recordings

I have created a series link to record olympics coverage on my HD DVR(HR20-700). Some of these recordings are 8hrs long and I am running out of space in my HD-DVR. My wife is only interested in watching Gymnastics and Swimming. Is there any way to split recordings and delete the parts that she is not interested ?

Unfortunately, no. Is your DVR connected to the internet? You can download specific Olympic events, such as gymnastics and swimming, using Video on Demand.

You can set manual recordings...

You can set the manual recordings for 1 hour, 2 hour or any increment you want. Then delete the ones that don't have what you want. Kinda hard with the way they bounce around on events tho. Good Luck!
