spontaneous restart during playback of recorded program

I have experienced a problem on my 622 that I have not seen listed here.

What happens is while I am playing back a program from the DVR it spontaneously starts over. the return to the beginning is instant and without any apparent breakup of the picture. All of a sudden I realize that the show is back at the start of the recording. Whats really wierd is that when I try to fast forward back to where I was in the show, the display breaks up and freezes up but the indicator bar showing where you are at in the recording continues to move forward. When I the hit play the picture is still showing about where I started the fast forward but the position indicator shows that I am much further forward in the show. In otherwords the position indicator shows I am 3/4 thru the show but the video is still near where I started the fast fwd. Once problem occurs from then on I can't use fast fwd or rewind and jump fwd or back keys work very irregular. The recording is permanently corrupted. I called support and they sent me a new 622 but on the very first recording the replacement receiver did the same thing.

Any one else having this problem? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Did this only occur once? Is it OTA or sat. More info is need to know if this is something that others have seen or not. I have seen something similar on OTA.

It has happened 3 times, sat tuners, 2 times on Comcast Sports Network West Ch 409 while watching a recorded basketball game. The first time was a while ago and I thought it was a fluke and didn't think much of it so I don't remember what show it was but it may have been on Ch409 also. The second time it occured I called dish tech support and they decided to send me a replacement 622. Once I set up the new box I setup and recorded another game on Ch409. During the recording everything seemed normal according to my wife. She watched the whole game and said it looked fine. I then started watching the recorded game when I got home. The first thing I noticed was when I used the JumpBack key to replay a portion of the game instead of backing up 10 seconds it apparently jumped back a couple of minutes. I thought it was strange but continued with the playback until about halfway thru the 2nd quarter the recording started over spontaneously, just like the first 622 I had. It was the that I noticed the fastfwd and rewind caused the picture to pixelate and freeze and although the indicator bar showed that I was fast forwarding in fact the recording was still in the same part of the game as it was when I pushed the fast fwd button. A second call to tech support was made and I was told they were aware of the problem but then she started talking about it being the pause key causing the 622 to jomp to live tv which from what I can tell is another bug that has been discussed in this forum quite a bit. So I don't think the understand whats happening with my box. I know I have rattled on quite a bit but I hope this may make it clearer what my problem looks like.
