Yesterday while watching a Yankee game on YES at a Sports Bar I noticed the D* setup they had was a little different. Every time the game went to commercial there was an onscreen message (with a D* logo) saying "We Will Be Right Back" I dont have that on my receivers (one being an H21). That was nothing special BUT during the Yankee game every time someone scored in the BOS/KC game there was a small box (Not a YES network graphic but a D* graphic) showing the updated score. The graphic looked similar to what I have with my Extra Innings and Superfan, but I dont get those graphics unless I am in a menu. Does D* have programmable widgets such as this? Or is it a software thing because I dont have the "Game Search' option oddly. Sorry for the long post.

I haven't seen what you describe but I would think it may be related to a commercial account, since you mention it being at a bar. It seems to block commercials but allows other game score updates to pop up on the screen. Interesting.

Well, YES does have interactive capabilities that is just for YES channel so perhaps that is what you saw.

After reading that above it looks like my H21 dosent get this stuff... looks like I need a DVR. Perhaps that explains why I dont have game search either.

Come to think of it, the YES Bonus cam channel 9990 (I think) goes on and off every 3 seconds or so when I have it tuned in. Is this another thing that would be fixed with a DVR or maybe my H21 needs a software update?

Only available on an "interactive" receiver and on the SD feed. NOT the HD feed.

There has been talk here that YES interactive would be available on YES HD once D11 is up and running. I hope that is true.

There has been talk here that YES interactive would be available on YES HD once D11 is up and running. I hope that is true.

Interactivity doesn't work yet with all MPEG4 channels and all the new HD channels are in MPEG4. I know they're working on MLB HD interactivity along with a few others but haven't heard the time frame yet. The first fully functional MPEG4 interactivity will be NFL Sunday Ticket for September and they've been working on that for awhile

One would think Michael Kay would mention this during Yankee games as an extra feature available to D* customers in the NYC market. Why on earth wouldn't he mention it (as it is a YES, D*, and MLB co-production)?? Does the fact that IO is the official HD sponsor of Yankees games prevent this??

I wish they offered this extra YES feature to MLB EI customers outside NY.

Maybe satelliteracer can lend some insight into how this feature works, if its only done via spotbeam (so thus only available in NY), or if it may be available someday soon to non-NY customers.
