Yep, with KSPR-DT's new tower & high antenna, it should be the easiest Springfield OTA channel to receive now. If your tuner didn't see it in the initial scan, you'll need to do a rescan for digital OTA channels.Terry K said:KSPR is now on full power digital so you should be able to get it from KYTV's tower as well.
OTA or DirecTV?kalrith said:Do I have to do anything special to get the locals in HD?...
Are you getting the local channels in HD?andunn27 said:I just checked and I am getting my local channels?? I have never had local channels on my account. I still have East Coast HD feeds and SD West and East coast feeds.
Yes, I have the HD DVR. I got the NY and LA feeds before Springfield, MO local channels were available. I was then able to get the East Coast HD feed since no HD locals were available. I am just curious as to why all of a sudden I am receiving Springfield, MO local channels in SD when I never have in the 5 years that I have been with them. I'm not complaining, but I am wondering.arxaw said:Are you getting the local channels in HD?
If you have a DirecTV HD receiver and are getting the E & W feeds, you should also be getting the HD feeds, too, in the 80s and 390s. Did you get NY & LA back before Springfield (SD) locals were ever available on D*?
Um, because the Springfield locals are now on one of the Ka/Ku satellites?andunn27 said:I am just curious as to why all of a sudden I am receiving Springfield, MO local channels in SD when I never have in the 5 years that I have been with them. I'm not complaining, but I am wondering.
Until now, the Springfield (SD) locals were on a separate, 72.5 satellite, which required a 2nd dish to pick up. I assume you never had the 2nd dish setup, but did get a 5LNB dish to pick up the HD channels, correct?andunn27 said:Yes, I have the HD DVR. DirecTV. I checked last night, and the news was on in HD. I'm so excited!arxaw said:OTA or DirecTV?
Holy crapAdamc6 said:Damn. This happens when I move away from Springfield to go back to school. Now I have to wait for CoMo to get HD locals, which I thought would be before Springfield since they were listed, I guess it'll be another two years before I get my wish.
