I liked it ... but at first I hated it. If they started out by saying that the parasite was affecting neurological functions, including memory, speech, motor skills, I would have been fine from the start, but instead they started by simply having Rodney himself say "I'm getting stupid". Being stupid doesn't mean you "talk slow" and move your hands in a fumbling manner! But then I heard the real story and it all made sense...

So yes, in the end I quite liked it.

It was, however, quite shocking to find out how much Ronon likes Rodney - I didn't expect that.

I did expect to see some affirmation of the heretofore hidden feelings between Rodney and Jennifer, so I'm glad she now knows. Now the question is does Rodney remember what he said to the camera .... or will Jennifer remind him ... or will they both just pretend it never happened?

Yeah, it was a good episode. I just hate that they decided to call it quits after this season. All through the show I was thinking "Dang, they're cancelling my favorite show!"

WOW. I thought this was a very powerful episode. David Hewlett's performance was off the charts. Personal I think he should get an Emmy for it.
It very much was an Emmy class performance. My wife, who just tolerates my addiction to SciFi, commented in the middle of the show "He's a really good actor!":)

It would make you think that he's experienced those behaviors in real life - like maybe he has a family member with a mental handicap. Those mannerisms were *spot on* to people I've seen in the past.

Tolerance has become respect. Ronon was a military leader and probably feels the need to preserve a important team asset. Ronon sees his team role as that of protector/enforcer.

Maybe this will be a slowly developing plot angle right up to the final episode. Every story needs a love interest. :)

David Hewlett's character is one of my favorites in the SG mythos. DH is a great actor and should be recognized as such.

Also very accurate in a lot of ways to people with Alzheimers -- espcially the part where he woke up in the middle of the night in a panic and was banging on John's door.
