Suddenlink deal

I nearly fell out of the bed this morning when I heard a Suddenlink radio ad. They were touting their DVR and how you can get a DVR for $15 per month if you also subscribe to HBO. Good gravy, $15 is no deal for a DVR and adding HBO means it costs more like $30 a month. :confused: :nono: Good night, D* and E* have much better deals than that.

And that's their "great deal" -- They are blasting that on the radio -- I say run, don't walk to your nearest sat dealer..... :hurah:

Lots of people complain about the up-front lease fee that they may have to pay for HD receivers/DVRs, noting that there are no such fees from the cable companies. They are always reminded that the cable companies typically charge about $15/month for a (crappy) DVR with a tiny hard drive, and that fee NEVER goes away.

<shrug>

There ain't no such thing as a free lunch.
