Has anyone else had a problem with the audio on Sunday night football? It is like the background crowd noise is so loud, you can't understand the announcers. It is that way over our antenna directly, or through a different nbc station on the dish. It is only this broadcast we have trouble with, and it has been the last two weeks.

To answer this question better, I would need to know more about your setup. I have a 5.1 surround sound system hooked up with optical cable. When I listen to an NFL game this way on an HD channel, the announcer's voice ONLY comes out of the center channel. All 4 of the other speakers only give crowd noise. I have to turn the Center channel up +4 above the other channels in order to get the mix right. So having said that, here's what I believe you are dealing with: If you have a surround sound system that is wired correctly, you need to turn the center channel up. If not, my guess is that what you are getting out of the standard Right and Left analog stereo outputs is some kind of bad down mix of the surround sound, which I could logically believe would be overwhelmed by the crowd noise. I hope this helps.

I really don't like most sports in surround, the crowd noise fill in the rears is just annoying to me. I usually run the audio through the tv instead of the receiver.
