Don't know if this will be true for everyone or what circumstances caused me to get this but I just recently logged onto Directv.com to change my programming from TC Premier to TC (after my 4 months expired) and noticed that Super Fan had a charge of $0.00 so I clicked it to add and have been getting it ever since.

I haven't gotten my real bill yet but online it shows as free. Give it a try and see if it works for you.

PS.
I posted this in the HD Non-DVR area but figured it would get more exposure here ... Mods feel free to delete whichever is in the wrong spot

I wouldn't doubt it. You know that they will renew it next year at full price, so you get 4 weeks free, and they get next year for full price.
Correct. They did the same thing last year.

i have a question slightly off topic but if i have superfan this year will i get it for free next year?? i read on D*'s faq's that ppl who had it in 2005 get it for free this year??
Will I be credited for NFL SUNDAY TICKET™ SuperFan™ in 2006 if I had it in 2005?

Yes. If you subscribed to NFL SUNDAY TICKET™ SuperFan in 2005, you will receive either a $49 or $99 credit for 2006, depending on what you paid in 2005. The credit from 2005 will be applied to your August bill.

I just looked it was $59.99
Hmm, mine said free. Maybe it has something to do with the package I already have. I have Sunday Ticket, HD, Total Choice, and DVR. What do you have.

It might of been when you signed up for NFL as well it was offered with free superfan for a while and you might of been under those terms.

If you had Superfan in 2005 you get a credit this year (2006) making Superfan free. If you bought superfan this year (2006), who knows what they will offer next year.

Most people on this forum just call and negotiate a credit if it isn't already offered.

It seems a little early to be concerend about next year, but you could call them.

No, I signed up for Sunday Ticket in August and skipped Super Fan since it was $100 and I didn't have an HDTV at the time. Later, I got a HDTV and they offered me Super Fan at a discount halfway through the season and I still declined. It was just this past Friday, when I logged on to lower my service from the initially free TC Premier to regular TC that I noticed Super Fan was free.

Personally, I don't care if they do auto renew. Having 4 weeks of HD games free is worth the effort of logging on and changing my service again. Plus, there's always the hope they'll give it to me free next year as others have been talking.

IMHO, it should come with Sunday Ticket already. Directv is the only provider of NFLST so they have thee power ... they just like the money.
