SuperFan Question

I have NFL Sunday ticket. I also have the HD Access as well as the Sports package....and Premier. Today I get a flyer in the mail saying for me to see the NFL games in HD I need to get SuperFan.

What gives? Since the New Orleans Saints are out of my market area...as well as the Steelers....does that mean unless I get SF I can only watch those games in SD if they are not nationally televised games (such as Sunday Night or Monday Night FB)?

Seems to me D* is taking advantage of the fact satellite providers won't be required to go HD like broadcast TV....they are providing HD only by a la carte...and reaping the monetary gains.

Please someone tell me I'm wrong here. (And explain it!!)

Yes you need the Super Fan package to receive the Sunday Ticket games in HD.

Neither Broadcasters or Satellite companies are being required to go "HD" they are being required to switch to digital signals from analog. Digital does not equal HD. It is a common misconcecption
Although the vast majority of people only see SuperFan as giving the ability to view the games in HD, the package actually contains a lot of different things.

I can't name them all right now (Red Zone Channel, etc.) because the only reason I would have gotten SuperFan was for the HD aspect of it. Some like the extras a lot, some may not even know they are a part of it.

But the truth is, you will only get the SD feeds of the Sunday Ticket games if you do not also purchase SF.

If that won't be acceptable to you and you want to cancel Sunday Ticket all together, just make sure you cancel before the season starts (I wouldn't let it linger any longer than maybe the week before Labor Day). Once that first game starts, you cannot cancel it (or maybe more rightly, you can't cancel it and get your money back).
just call and tell explain the situation....u should get superfan for free....almost everyone else is.....just read all 845 pages from screams link.
