Minor detail, but it isn't covered on the DirecTV website. If you suspend service for a couple of months, does everything get suspended? For instance, what about lease payments or the protection plan? Just curious about what to expect when I call them.

Everything that gets billed on the account gets suspended - programming, lease fees, etc. Any programming agreement is extended by the number of months you suspend for and you need to have your balance @ $0 to suspend.

To clarify the time frame of them doesn't stop(get extended) but the application of them to the account does.

But for the general answer, you have no fees. Partial credit given back for the cycle it starts in. Basically no charges accrued for any time the service is suspended, including no 'vacation fees' that you run into with several other service providers.

Also, if you are under commitment still, the commitment time freezes until the account comes out of suspend.
