Swap Receiver

I am in the syracuse area that just got hd locals and we use the 72.5 sat for sd locals. Dtv has told me I need to swap my 6 sd directv tivos and 1 r15 dvr because 72.5 is being shut down and sd locals moving to either 99 or 103 sat and these receivers will not work. Going to take 6 weeks for insatallation. Free swap

My only question is what does "Swap" mean. I own the dtivo's and the r15 is leased. They did not say but I assume they want the leased r15 back but I own the tivos and have lots of unviewed programming on them

Thanks
Rick

No matter if owned or leased, they are going to "swap" you for equipment compatatble with the new sats. If it is owned, it should remain owned.
They should not want the TiVos back since they can not send them out to subs.

It also should not affect your commitment. I'd wait a month or two after the "swap" and call to verify that "owned is still owned" and your commitment date (if you had one) is the same.
