"I'd say" it wouldn't hurt to. The coax shield is connecting everything to ground, so it's working now, and in this case "bonding" the SWiM & the splitter [or moving it to the SWiM] isn't going to cause any issues, though it may not cure any either. :lol:

i would say as long as you have a messenger wire and the green wire on there it really shouldnt be a issue, but had i done it i would of attached it to the 16 myself, his way of thinking is that its there and connected is what i would assume what he thought!
