i just bought one off of ebay for $110 including shipping. had pi, swm, and and sts-4 splitter included. they seem to be dropping in price pretty quickly.
This may be due to more SWMline LNBs, "falling off the truck" of the installers.evan_s said:I think it will be a while before the SWM8 gets down to 50$. I think the SWMlnb is a little cheaper and might make it there for just the LNB. Currently the new installs with it are still pretty limited.
Yeah it wouldn't surprise me if some of that occurs on ebay.veryoldschool said:This may be due to more SWMline LNBs, "falling off the truck" of the installers.
The AU9 IS a slimline, you probably mean the AT-9. But the SWM will work with an AT-9 5-lnb dish, even a 3-lnb dish and if you wanted to it should work with a round dish also. As far as the dish is concerned, the SWM8 is just another multiswitch.dpfaunts said:Sorry, a little off topic, but certainly related. If I remember correctly from all the SWM posts, the SMW can not be used with a AU-9 dish, only Slimlines. Is that correct?

i know thats where they are coming from. i emailed one of the sellers on ebay and she said that her husband works as an installer for directv and he has them "left over" at the end of the day:eek2:veryoldschool said:This may be due to more SWMline LNBs, "falling off the truck" of the installers.
