I have a HR34-100, H24-100 and two HR20-700 with DECA. I just replaced my SWM8 with a SWM16. The previous install used a Band Stop Filter. From what I understand, I do not need to use it on the 16. Is that correct?

Right using the BSF will now block DECA from passing between the two sections of the SWiM-16.
