I installed a SWM8 2 weeks ago replacing a WB68. Now, when I check the satellite strengths on my 3 DVRs (2 HR20's and 1 HR22), there is a new listing for the SWM with 9 "transponders" listed. What exactly do these refer to? What should they be? On each DVR they are in the 90's except that 1 transponder and occasionally a second is always 0. I believe the one that is zero is different on each DVR, and I think the one that is zero varies after the DVRs are restarted. The actually satellite strengths for all the different satellites is quite high, and I don't believe there are any issues with the actual satellite reception. Is this normal?
I am asking because on both HR20's but not the HR22, I intermittently lose all the D11 satellite channels. Even when I can't tune them, the signal strength for all satellites is excellent. I also don't get the usual "searching for signal" or "call 771" message everyone else seems to get when channels don't show up.
This is the configuration: Output number 1 from the SWM goes to the power inserter about 25 feet away. The output from the PI is split once to one HR20 and one HR22 using an SWS2. The second output from the SWM goes straight to the other HR20.
So, interestingly one line from the SWM is split, and one of the receivers it is feeding is periodically losing the D11 sats, while the other leg of the split goes to a receiver that never does. And, the other receiver that periodically loses those sats is on its own line.
Thanks for the help.
