System info has 118 error

The signal strengths are more detailed than a simple pass/fail.

Are you still receiving your channels from 118° (HD locals I'm assuming)?

Yes, if 118 if for HD locals (I live near St. Louis, MO) I am getting them.

It looks like there might be a problem with the "System Info" screens.

Trust the "Point Dish" signal strengths - 70s in to 80s would be better numbers there, but channel reception is the goal. Do you know what your numbers were the day it was installed? Have they slipped?

Actually I'm not sure what the numbers were. I do know the installer had a hell of a time getting all 4 signals and would keep adjusting the dish.

Plus dishes are not easy to aim. Neither are superdishes. I'm not sure which I'd say is worse at the moment (but I prefer the open design of the Plus dish - less places for spiders and wasps to live).

The plus dish is new enough that it is hard to find an experienced installer. The little tricks that installers eventually learn that go beyond the instructions can be helpful. Reaiming MIGHT give you better numbers on 118° - but you might also find a new way to throw off your aim.

It was professionally installed about a month ago when I upgraded to the 622. Does the sat need to be realigned? And am I missing anything by not getting 118?

Also when i run point dish thru the receiver 129, 119 & 110 are all green with great signal strengths, but 118 is green but signal strength varies between 60-75.

Any comments will be appreciated.

I have a 1000+ running into a 622 as well, for my Local HD channels in the Detroit area. I've experienced the same problem as you. My signal strength on 118 remains in the upper 60's-70's but System Info screen always shows an error on that sat only. I've never lost signal so far and don't appear to have any other side effects from this condition. I would agree it's likely just an issue with the screen. My installer advised that 118 can be a little tricky sometimes but the signal strength does not need to be as high as the other sats to maintain lock.

Thanks james and ryan for all your help on this issue. I will leave it alone since I'm not experiencing signal loss.
